Adding numbers close to hundreds :

Suppose you are adding two numbers 

 

96 + 112 = 208

➡️ Step no 1:

♀️ First round the numbers to the nearest hundreds digit.

96 + 4= 100

➡️ Step no 2:

♀️ Now Add the result from step no.1 to the other number.

100 + 112 = 212 

➡️ Step no 3:

♀️ Add or subtract the result from step no. 2 by the number you rounded off. 

212 - 4 = 208
